[Los Angeles, CA, June 22, 2023]: Coming off the most successful six months in company history marked by a greater than 100% increase in the number of colleges and universities relying on CollegeAPP’s proprietary predictive models to identify and recruit adult learners, the company has hired Kayce O’Brien as Executive Director of the CollegeAPP’s Partner Experience Team, created to ensure extension of the CollegeAPP partner experience beyond its day-to-day enrollment marketing service.
“Since our inception, CollegeAPP has focused on creating a customer experience based on, friendly, efficient, expert-based service,” said CollegeAPP CEO Jack MacKenzie. “And those three qualities perfectly describe Kayce O’Brien. She knows what a busy higher education professional wants and needs from a partner, and we’re excited that she has decided to apply her expertise, creativity and passion to imagining and executing a partner experience our clients deserve.”
“I have seen the power of the CollegeAPP approach firsthand, and for me, it was a game changer,” O’Brien said. “The CollegeAPP platform allowed us to engage with prospective students that we had not yet reached through traditional marketing outreach. We saw significant increases in engagements, event registration and attendance. And they did it with helpful and encouraging style that I admired.”
O’Brien comes to CollegeAPP from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado, where she has served for the past four-plus years as the Director of Admissions, Outreach & Recruitment. Kayce led enrollment growth through disruptions created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In making the hire, the company noted O’Brien’s success of growing application completions and conversions at Arapahoe Community College, utilizing best practices in education marketing, combined with education technology resources and innovative practices. O’Brien’s experience with effectively leading teams through change, combined with her track record of data-driven decision making gives her the insight needed to foster and grow relationships with CollegeAPP partners.
“We know that when partners deploy CollegeAPP data for adult student recruitment, it works,” MacKenzie said. “And under Kayce’s leadership, we are going to build a partner experience that will foster strong collaborative relationships.”
O’Brien added, “I am passionate about supporting access to education and am excited to continue those efforts with this incredible organization. While recruiting adult students will always be our number one priority, our data can create many more positive outcomes for colleges and universities. I am committed to sharing those ideas and best practices to improve on CollegeAPP’s already impressive 94% retention rate.”
O’Brien holds a Master of Science in Management & Leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Johnson & Wales University. She resides in the Denver metro area with her husband and their three kids.
O’Brien officially joins the CollegeAPP team in late July.
