CollegeAPP, founded in 2019 is named to the Inc. 5000 list in its first year of eligibility.
[La Canada Flintridge, CA]: Inc. revealed today that CollegeAPP ranks No. 941 on the 2024 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Under Armour, Timberland, Oracle, Patagonia, and many other household-name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000. CollegeAPP, the adult-recruitment data science platform for higher education was founded and is currently based in La Canada Flintridge, CA.

Founded in October of 2019, CollegeAPP now partners with more than 275 colleges on a singular challenge: identify the adults in a community who have intent to enroll in education or training. The CollegeAPP approach relies on sophisticated data science techniques referred to as person-level predictive modeling. The technique is widely used in electoral politics and many commercial sectors, but was and continues to be new to higher education when MacKenzie and his co-founders created the company.
