Hiring comes as the company prepares to release detailed data on the success colleges are having identifying and recruiting adult students using CollegeAPP data and media placement services
[La Canada Flintridge, CA]: CollegeAPP, the leading predictive analytics service in higher education marketing, has announced that Dan Curtis is joining the company as Vice President, Four-Year Colleges and Universities. Curtis brings a track record of success of introducing disruptive and forward-looking services into higher education. Prior to CollegeAPP, Curtis served in senior business development roles at Motimatic, Civitas Learning and Western Governors University.
CollegeAPP Founder and CEO Jack MacKenzie said, “Dan is a terrific communicator and consultant. His knowledge and understanding of the challenges higher education marketers face is unparalleled. As we spoke throughout the summer and fall, it became clear that his vision of the role of CollegeAPP in that ecosystem is very consistent with ours.”
More than 275 colleges are now depending on CollegeAPP to help them navigate one of the most challenging and yet opportunistic audience segments of potential students: the adult population. Armed with proprietary predictive data modeling, CollegeAPP helps colleges and universities find and recruit the adults who have future intent to enroll in education and training. As part of the company’s ongoing Continuous Innovation initiative, CollegeAPP partners also have the opportunity to consider more than a dozen additional predictive models including program interest, institutional preference, and modality preference. The combination of those models, put against CollegeAPP’s Adult Learner Database of more than 260 million US adults, gives partners the most comprehensive data suite needed to run successful and efficient marketing campaigns.
“There are millions of Americans with some college and no degree and many more who have not engaged in any education beyond high school,” Curtis shared. “Millions of adults think about going back or getting started every day, yet knowing who these people are, understanding their interest and intent and guiding them to the right institution and program is a huge challenge for colleges and universities. CollegeAPP's models and tools are creating critical connections, helping these institutions identify these high-intent individuals so they can start or re-start their journey."
As Curtis joins, CollegeAPP is launching an informational tour to inform higher education marketers what is possible when they put CollegeAPP data to use in recruiting adult students.
“We have a media placement, management and campaign reporting philosophy that is catching on in higher education,” MacKenzie said. “It’s based on winning. It’s based on performance. And it’s based on efficiency. The metrics from our partners’ campaigns using CollegeAPP data, along with our managed services, are without question the most efficient in the industry. With five years under our belts and proof that this approach works, we believe it’s time to let the secret out and share with the broader community.”
“I’m excited to join CollegeAPP at this moment,” Curits said. “We have proven that this approach, focused on adult learners and focused on future intent, gets better results than traditional digital advertising. CollegeAPP is re-writing the playbook at a time when a NEW playbook is exactly what is needed.”
