Company Announces Hiring Amid Aggressive Product and Partner Expansion

[Los Angeles, CA]: Long-time education services executive Mark Triest is joining CollegeAPP, the predictive analytics service that is altering the landscape and opportunity for higher education to identify and recruit adult students for enrollment. Triest will serve as Chief Growth Officer, responsible for increasing awareness and adoption of the proprietary CollegeAPP service across the country.

Triest, who most recently served as CRO at Modern Campus, arrives at a time of unprecedented success for CollegeAPP and its 200+ partner colleges and universities. “I have been a big fan of CollegeAPP for some time and am delighted to join a talented team who are doing great work,” Triest said. “CollegeAPP delivers a truly unique approach to helping colleges achieve their adult learner enrollment goals, by identifying those who have high intent to enroll. It’s a win-win for adult learners and the education providers who serve them.”

CollegeAPP, which recently acknowledged its fourth anniversary, has radically changed the conversation around the upcoming “enrollment cliff” that will arrive on college campuses in 2025. “Rather than worry about the impact of the cliff or the increasingly restrictive changes in digital marketing, CollegeAPP partners are proving that a disciplined, intent-driven approach to the large and growing adult market will work,” said Jack MacKenzie, CEO and co-founder. “We are confident that Mark’s history of success in guiding colleges and universities to successful outcomes will play a key role in growing adoption of the singularly unique CollegeAPP approach.”

The announcement comes as CollegeAPP continues to roll out new services, predictive models and personnel to enhance the company’s Partner Experience.  In late September, CollegeAPP released proprietary models focused on the previous education attainment of more than 241 million US adults in the CollegeAPP Adult Learner Database.

“Our strategy of continuous data acquisition in the form of real-time surveys is serving our partners well,” said Michiel Besseling, Vice President of Analytics at CollegeAPP. “The predictive models we create don’t have to depend on limited and out-of-date campus provided data. Instead, our proprietary processes create more accurate models every day. It’s the ideal way to ensure that CollegeAPP partners are making adult recruitment decisions with the best data available.”

Kayce O’Brien, who recently joined the company from Arapahoe Community College, is spearheading CollegeAPP’s Partner Experience team. “We were already appreciated as fast and responsive, which is a great foundation to build upon. Our team is now focused on adding consultative expertise to increase campus-wide adoption of the full suite of CollegeAPP data,” O’Brien said. “Our intent to enroll model is clearly the most important, but because CollegeAPP is the only company in higher education to offer partners direct access to our underlying database, we are getting more and more campus departments engaged. Whether that’s advancement, institutional research or strategic planning, the CollegeAPP database is a treasure trove that we want to be discovered and deployed.”
