CollegeAPP survey and predictive models show 22% of adult population has Intent to Enroll in education or training

[Los Angeles, CA, January 10, 2022]: More than 1.2 million adults in Massachusetts have a high probability of  intent to enroll in education or training programs, according to the latest data release by CollegeAPP.

“Massachusetts is consistent with a number of statewide surveys across the country we’ve conducted over the  past couple of months,” said Jack MacKenzie, CollegeAPP president. “A little more than 20% of adults tell us  they want and need education and it’s pretty consistent no matter what region of the country they live. The  tough equation for higher education marketers, however, is that about 80% of population doesn’t intend to  enroll. Adult learners are out there, they are just hard to identify and find.”

CollegeAPP data shows that more than half million of the adults with intent in Massachusetts are between 30-39  years old and 52% of them have at least one child under 18 in the household. “As economies are getting back to  full speed, we are seeing more and more working age people with children say it’s time to improve their skills  and get the education they need for the jobs that are available.” MacKenzie said.

Massachusetts is the 37th state added to the CollegeAPP database and is the first of several New England models the company will release in January 2022. “We are making a concerted effort to expand our reach into states that are prioritizing adult learning and retraining. It is our plan to have coverage of more than 95% of the US adult population by the end of January,” MacKenzie said.
